Miami inmates charge calls to faxes

The alleged scheme enabled inmates to have collect calls placed to their friends and family on the outside billed to fax numbers assigned to unsuspecting third parties.

Gadhafi says break up restless Nigeria

Earlier this month, Gadhafi proposed splitting Nigeria into Muslim and Christian halves; however, he recently amended the proposal to include additional spin-off states to accommodate other restive tribal factions, the BBC said Monday.

Fetus found in Louisville school

The fetus found about 8 a.m. by a custodian at Iroquois High School was described by Jefferson County Public Schools spokeswoman Lauren Roberts as very early term, The Courier-Journal reported.

Officials, experts discuss troubled whale

Officials said they are working with experts in South Florida to come up with ideas to help the whale, which was first spotted March 7 near the coast of St. Augustine and was last spotted Friday about a mile off Government Cut, near Miami Beach, WFOR-TV, Miami, reported Monday.
