Report: Russia prepping PR campaign

Citing an unnamed sources in the Brussels public relations industry, the publication said RIA Novosti has hired a little-known media consultancy, RJI Companies, in a bid to recruit a major PR firm to help it embark on a media blitz to justify Russia's power ambitions and improve the image of the late dictator Joseph Stalin.

Qatari prince seeks restitution for arrest

The commercial television station Nova said Prince Hamid bin Abdal Sani is seeking the restitution after being held in custody in Prague for several days in 2005 before he was released to the custody of Qatari officials, the Czech news service CTK reported Tuesday.

Quebec bans Japanese right-hand-drive cars

The used cars are popular among young people because of their low price, low mileage and higher performance than domestic models, but the provincial insurance agency said they are also 30 percent more likely to be involved in accidents, The (Montreal) Gazette reported Tuesday.

Barrel in Melbourne lake contains remains

Melbourne Detective Sergeant Peter Trichias said workers cleaning a lake in the city's Jack Roper Reserve Saturday noticed a strong smell coming from a barrel they found in the lake, opened it, and discovered human remains, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
