Clinton: U.S., Italy share goals in Haiti

As we know, Italy suffered its own tragic earthquake last year, and the Italian people have opened their hearts in solidarity, Clinton said during a joint appearance Monday in Washington with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini. We discussed how difficult this endeavor is in a country without the infrastructure and the capacity that we take for granted in countries like ours. But we will look to Italy for technical advice and assistance as we move forward for the longer term.

Father charged with using dead son's ID

David Frank Pflegl lived under his own name but used the Social Security number and name of his son, David Frank Pflegl II, to obtain a mortgage, jobs and hunting and fishing licenses, said Scott Nesbitt, a Utah Department of Public Safety investigator.

Father surrenders in son's death

Michael Lanese, 68, arrived in Pittsburgh Saturday from Ho Chi Minh City, where he had surrendered Thursday to FBI agents, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.
