Court refuses to review priest-sex case

The Connecticut Supreme Court earlier ruled that more than 12,000 pages in 23 lawsuits against six priests should be unsealed, the Connecticut Post reported. The U.S. Supreme Court refused without comment to review that ruling.

U.S. investigates slaying of nun in N.M.

The body of Sister Marguerite Bartz was found Sunday at the convent in Navajo, N.M. A Catholic church spokesman said her home had been broken into and her car had been stolen, CNN reported.

Woman run over by irate father dies


11:03 PM, November 2

Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 48, of Glendale, was booked Saturday on two counts of aggravated assault after allegedly running over his daughter, Noor Almaleki, and another woman in his sport utility vehicle in what prosecutors say was an honor killing.
