"With all the seasonings, this turkey recipe has the best taste. It wouldn't seem right to have Thanksgiving without it I love to make gravy from the pan drippings and serve it with mashed potatoes."

Serves 12

Ingredients
* One 12-pound whole turkey, thawed, if frozen
* 2 tablespoons chopped sage
* 2 teaspoons curry powder
* 2 teaspoons garlic powder
* 2 teaspoons dried parsley
* 2 teaspoons celery seeds
* 1 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
* 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
* 4 dried bay leaves
* 1 to 2 tablespoons salt
* 1 to 2 tablespoons pepper
* 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Recipe -- Sweet Potato Puree

BUTTER MIXTURE:
1/4 LB Butter
1/2 cup Brown sugar
2 Egg yolks

Place butter and Sugar in a small sauté pan and heat until sugar is melted into the butter. Add egg yolks. Continue heating and stir to a smooth consistency. Remove from heat.

Chives are an herb native to the temperate and northern parts of Europe, Siberia, and North America. It has a long history of use in the kitchen, with some recipes from China going back at least 5,000 years. Rumanian Gypsies used chives as part of their fortune telling rituals, and when dried bunches of chives were hung in the house it was believed to drive away disease and evil influences.
