Death sentence upheld in diplomat slaying

They called their victim an infidel. Judge Sayed Ahmed Al-Badry quoted Islamic texts denouncing killing both Muslims and non-Muslims as he upheld the death sentence, Voice of America reported.

Houston schools not embracing Bible study

The Houston Chronicle said Monday while schools in the nearby Conroe and Willis school districts have or will use Bible study, no high schools in the Houston Independent School District feature such religion-inspired courses.
