Iraq raids net six terrorism arrests

A statement by Multinational Forces-Iraq indicated an Iraqi security team aided by U.S. advisers arrested four suspects during an operation near Tarmiyah, approximately 20 miles northwest of Baghdad, in a search of several buildings. An alleged key member of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device network was arrested.

Papandreou sworn in as Greek PM

The oath of office was administered to Papandreou by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece as President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias watched, the Athens News Agency-Macedonian Press Agency S.A reported.

Top Rwandan genocide suspect arrested

Investigators say Nizeyimana was a Hutu militia intelligence chief in 1994 when he organized the slayings of thousands of Rwandan Tutsis, including Queen Rosalie Gicanda, wife of the late King Mutara III, the BBC reported.

U.S., Israel to hold joint drill

The drill, the biannual Juniper Cobra drill, begins next week and sends a loud and clear message to Iran, a senior Israeli military officer told Maariv Tuesday. He added the pending arrival of a top U.S. Army general to oversee the joint exercise signifies its importance.
