Greetings Falcon Families!
The entire staff is here getting ready to greet your son or daughter for the first day on school on Monday. We are so excited for what will be an exceptional year!
PRIDE:
Thank you to all of the families who attended Falcon Days (registration). Our goal is for all of our students to feel comfortable and ready to go on the very first day of school! We are PROUD of the work we have done preparing for your child and the new school year!
RESPECT:
The focus this week is CONNECTIONS! We want to establish positive relationships with each of our students and their families. We know your child will be making lots of new connections this week. Remind your child to branch out, make new friends and BE KIND to everyone they meet!
RESPONSIBILITY:
During first period, our students will learn about our school's expectations. Please make sure that you and your child have read the student handbook. This will ensure a clear understanding of the expectations and rules we have in place at MMS. In addition, they will also learn about opportunities available to them to get involved on campus. We want to make sure that our students know what they need to do to be successful both inside and out of the classroom.
General Information:
When possible, we would encourage parents to send their child to school on the bus. Our drivers are the best in the state! If you are going to bring your child to school, please do not drop him or her off prior to 8:15. Staff are either in meetings or preparing their room for the day, therefore we do not have comprehensive supervision available prior to that time.
Your child will be receiving their Chrome Book on Aug 14th or 15th. This is, of course, a wonderful tool and resource for your child. We would like to stress the importance of your child using their Chrome Book and not relying on another personal devise to use at school. If your child has a cell phone, please encourage them to leave it in their backpack throughout the school day.
In order to maintain a school environment free from unnecessary distractions, student will not be able to wear hats, beanies, or bandannas that cover the entire head to school. If the PE teacher has outdoor activities planned for a warm day, students will be able to wear a hat as part of their PE uniform if they wish.

Falcon Athletics:
We are super excited about launching our first quarter sports season. To start our season with a bang, we will be hosting our 1st Pep Assembly after school on Monday, August 7th. All football, boys' volleyball, softball players and cross country runners are to report directly to the auditorium after dismissal. Students do not need to dress for tryouts on Monday or bring their sports gear. Activity buses will leave MMS at 5:30 pm, and we will help your students get on the correct activity bus.
We are structuring the assembly in a way to not only explain how Falcons Win and Lose with Class, but to also to build school spirit and create some added energy with a celebration type atmosphere. Falcon Pride is respected throughout the entire Northwest League, and that culture is fostered and cultivated from day one. We are fully committed to providing your students with a positive athletic experience regardless of their experience or talent level. We pride ourselves in providing teams where everyone can feel a part of. #Falcon Rising! Can you feel it? Please contact 682-4724 with any questions.
Remember to always check our website for all of the most-timely information about upcoming events and activities.
Have a wonderful weekend and please contact us with any questions you may have.
Happy School Year 2017-2018
Go FALCONS!
