Please be advised that there is a power line down at North Sanders Road and West Barnett Road resulting in loss of electricity at Estes Elementary, Marana Middle School, MCAT High School, and all district offices located on West Grier Road. Water and bathroom facilities remain operational.
At this time, Tucson Electric Power estimates the repair will be completed shortly; however it is possible that the repair may take several hours. As a result, district school buses will transport students from Estes Elementary to Marana High School, at approximately 10:15am and from Marana Middle School to Marana High School at approximately 10:45am.
If the power is restored prior to 10:15am at all schools then students will remain at their home school. Food Services Department is prepared to serve student lunches at Marana High School. The district continues to monitor this situation and remain in close communication with Tucson Electric Power.
We will continue to send updates every 30 minutes related to this situation.
