World food security summit opens in Rome

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon opened the summit by telling delegates more than 17,000 children would die of starvation in one day, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.

Imam says he didn't incite Hasan

Imam Anwar al-Awlaki said he didn't order or pressure U.S. Army Maj. Nidal M. Hasan to harm Americans, but viewed his role as a sounding board for the Army psychiatrist charged with killing 13 people Nov. 5 at the army base, The Washington Post reported Monday.
