Moreno-Ocampo said at a news conference in Nairobi, Kenya, he explained to Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga that crimes against humanity took place in post-election violence in Kenya in 2008, The New York Times reported.

Bachmann eyes opposition of heathcare bill

Speaking on a conference call Wednesday with members of the advocacy group Americans for Prosperity, Bachmann urged bloggers and activists to contact members of Congress in an attempt to thwart the bill's passage, Politico reported.

Family aid worker receives $1M prize

The award from the Opus Prize Foundation is about twice the annual budget for the Association Solidarita Faminine, the humanitarian organization Channa founded 24 years ago, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press reported Thursday. It means the 68-year-old will be much closer to her goal of making the organization self-sufficient.

Minn. man accused of sexually abusing boys

The Minneapolis Star Tribune said Thursday that Eagle Wind Lajeunesse is facing one count of aggravated sexual abuse and two counts of abusive sexual contact for allegedly sexually abusing the unidentified boys.
