Harkin promises weekends on healthcare

Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, also predicted during an interview on the Bill Press Radio Show that the Senate would have the 60 votes needed to call up the healthcare bill this week, The Hill reported.

Medvedev rejects WWII history 'rewrites'

Medvedev told the crew of the Russian cruiser Varyag that historians will always debate the past; however, there was no doubt that the eventual outcome of the war had been agreed upon by the allied powers at the time.

IAEA: Iran may have more nuke facilities

The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a report published Monday that visits by IAEA inspectors to the facility in Qom last month gave rise to worries that Iran has constructed other such secret nuclear sites, CNN reported.

Defense food provider indicted for fraud

In the indictment, Public Warehousing Co. was accused of committing major fraud, making false statements, submitting false claims and wire fraud in multi-billion-dollar Pentagon contracts to feed U.S. troops in Iraq, Kuwait and Jordan, the U.S. Justice Department said in a release.
