Kosovo's prime minister, Hassim Thaci, called Sunday the most important day for the citizens of Kosovo since proclaiming of (its) independence, the Serbian newspaper Blic reported Monday.

Imam says he didn't incite Hasan

Imam Anwar al-Awlaki said he didn't order or pressure U.S. Army Maj. Nidal M. Hasan to harm Americans, but viewed his role as a sounding board for the Army psychiatrist charged with killing 13 people Nov. 5 at the army base, The Washington Post reported Monday.

Report: Gunmen kill 13 Iraqi civilians

An unnamed source told the Kuwait News Agency KUNA that the villagers of Zauba were rounded up and executed by the gunmen, raising tensions in the area as Iraqi security forces clamped down following the attack.

Rudd apologizes to 'Forgotten Australians'

Known as Australia's forgotten generation, the children were orphans or from poor families, who received little education and often suffered abuse, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported Monday. The practice of shipping the children to government-run institutions, orphanages or foster homes abroad was carried out from the 1920s until 1970.
