Good evening Mountain View families,
We made it to Winter Break. And, we have made it to the end of 2020. Those two points should be celebrated by everyone. This has been a difficult year for so many people and the challenges of 2020 and COVID-19 have been hard to overcome. But, here we are, late in the year, and ready to ring in 2021.
Below is some valuable information regarding our ParentVUE app. We reference this often as this app will allow you to see your child's grades.
Also, I have included the January bell schedule (see attached) for the first three weeks of school. The Governing Board voted to return to our Remote Learning Model for the first three weeks of January, with students returning to campus on January 25th.
- Students will be expected to use Google Classroom for their course materials. Zoom links will be provided on the Classroom page. Expect to Zoom for up to 25 minutes per class period, daily.
- Student attendance is marked based on their attendance in Zoom and/or engagement in the daily work.
- Teachers will enter attendance daily.
- Students are expected to engage in the Zoom and assignments daily to meet attendance requirements. An absence indicates to a parent that the student is not engaging with the class at the expected time.
- Students who do not log in to Zoom and who do not complete work during the class period should be marked absent by the teacher.
Finally, here is important information regarding grab and go meals.
FREE Grab & Go Meals & Marana Cares Mobile!
- Aligned with U.S. Department of Agriculture and Arizona Department of Education regulations, MUSD is providing FREE Grab & Go Meals while schools are offering Remote and Onsite Learning. Children may stop by a school, or along a bus route to grab a lunch and receive a breakfast meal for the following morning. This service will be provided during Fall 2020 through December 31, 2020 or as funds allow. Grab & Go
Details:
o Free to ALL children 18 and under
o Meals offered Monday-Friday, following MUSD Calendar.
o Students DO NOT need to present to take a meal.
o Adult meals are not available.
o Students are not required to attend the Marana school district.
o Families do not need to register for meals and there are no income requirements.
o Visit My Lunch Tray Website for menus. Menus vary daily and are subject to change based on food supply.
