A Community of Empowered, Innovative and Engaged Citizens | | | Good evening Mountain Lion family, I hope you all enjoyed the extended weekend and your children were excited to get back online this morning for school. An important reminder, next week, January 25th, we will return to our Hybrid Learning Model. We have attached the schedule for the remainder of this week as well as the Hybrid schedule we will resume next Monday. I also want to thank those of you that were able to complete the parent survey for Cognia. Our accreditation visit is the first week of March and this information will help both the engagement review team as well as our school leadership team. If you have not completed the survey as of yet, please take a few minutes to complete it this week. Have a great week. Thank you for supporting Mountain View. During the Remote Learning Model: - Students will be expected to use Google Classroom for their course materials. Zoom links will be provided on the Classroom page. Expect to Zoom for up to 25 minutes per class period, daily.
- Student attendance is marked based on their attendance in Zoom and/or engagement in the daily work.
- Teachers will enter attendance daily.
- Students are expected to engage in the Zoom and assignments daily to meet attendance requirements. An absence indicates to a parent that the student is not engaging with the class at the expected time.
- Students who do not log in to Zoom and who do not complete work during the class period should be marked absent by the teacher.

Speaking of 2021, in the following weeks (February 1st-3rd) Counselors will be meeting with all of our students through their English course, to talk to them about their course selections and new course offerings for the 2021-2022 school year. Following our presentations, we will be providing speed advising to students. This is a great opportunity to ask quick questions about course selections. For more in-depth questions, we request that students make an appointment with their counselor, after their course selection presentation (after February 3rd). Junior students will receive Junior Advisement on February 5th, this presentation will cover: next steps for post-high school plans and other important information for both their junior and senior year. We encourage you to talk to your student(s) about their plan for their 2021-2022 courses, post-high school plan and their graduation progress. If they have any questions or aren't sure what they want to do, please encourage them to make an appointment with their counselor or the College and Career Center (CCC). Students can find appointment links for their counselors and the CCC in their graduating class google classroom (ex: Class of 2021).
