Remote Learning Parent and Student Resource Guide We are excited to welcome students back to school in a remote learning setting on August 5, 2020. Over the summer months, multiple planning meetings have taken place with teachers, school and district leaders, parents, and students to develop the expectations, supports, and resources for teaching and learning in a remote setting. Please review MUSD's Remote Learning Parent and Student Resource Guide. The purpose of this resource guide is to provide supplemental resources to parents and students to engage in learning in a remote setting. Parents/Guardians may also view a video for an overview of remote learning. Welcome to the start of the school year. Family/Student Needs Assessment The Student Services Department offers a wide range of programs and services to students and families. Some of the services and programs include K-12 School Counseling, Crisis Response, District Social Workers, Family Resource Center, McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Services, etc. As we plan for the school year, parents/guardians are requested to please complete our Student Services Family/Student Needs Assessment so we can determine the best way to support you and your student(s). Once the survey is completed, an MUSD staff member from the Department will communicate with you according to your preferred method of communication. District Calendar 2020-2021 The Governing Board recently revised the District Calendar for the 2020-2021 school year, aligned with the Governor's Executive Order. School Meals To Go Beginning Wednesday, August 5, students may stop by a school or along a bus route, Monday – Friday, to receive a hot lunch and a breakfast meal to go for the following morning. On July 28, parents/guardians received a questionnaire from the District requesting you to select one of twelve school locations or a bus route for pickup of school meals. If you were unable to complete the questionnaire and plan to participate in the School Meals To Go program, please contact our Food Services Department at 520-682-4734. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Arizona Department of Education regulate the District's food service program.
