The Air Resources Board (ARB) has released an FAQ document to
address multiple vintage allowances offered in the Current
Auction for the upcoming May 2015 Joint Auction #3, scheduled for
May 21, 2015. The FAQ document can be found on the Auction
Information webpage at:

In each quarterly auction, current and previous vintage
allowances will be auctioned separately from future vintage
allowances. The auction of allowances from the current and
previous budget years is known as the Current Auction. The
auction of future vintage allowances is known as the Advance
Auction.
The May 2015 Joint Auction #3 will offer years 2013 and 2015
vintage allowances in the Current Auction and year 2018 future
vintage allowances in the Advance Auction. The FAQ document
provides additional clarity for the multiple year vintage
allowances offered in the May 2015 Joint Auction #3 Current
Auction.
