Hello Parents! We are at Thanksgiving break and time to review your student's scores. I have updated things today, including the Unit test for Ecology. Your student had a paper packet to review on last Friday, all power-points and pertinent notes are posted into their chrome book as we go through a Unit. If a score on the following items is showing a zero, they can still turn those in by Monday Nov 26: ( Kaibab deer graph, Succession on line worksheet, Oh Deer Lab) They were told that they could earn a retake on the unit test if:
1. The review was completed on test day
2. They score lower than 60 % (24/40).
If your child missed today's test, they will have a makeup on Monday Nov 26 in class.
What I saw was that students that failed the test also did not do the review, and frequently have missing assignments or incomplete work. Attendance does matter, and as we go towards the end of semester 1, please try to be sure your student is at class as much as possible. We have final exam review and final exams the week of Dec 17-20. If you know in advance you will need to take your child out of school early, please notify all of their teachers so we can get them their finals early.
