Welcome to Marana High School!
In just a few days you will embark on your high school journey as Marana Tigers. I am so excited to be a part of that transition with you. Our biology classroom is an active place utilizing technology, lab equipment, and old-fashioned logical thought. As we investigate the world around us, each of you will define a problem you want to solve, research it, and design an experiment to test your proposed solution. From day one you will need a charged Chromebook, a composition notebook, highlighters, and a writing utensil of your choice.
Science is meant to be a hands-on course. With that come certain expectations in the classroom to protect your safety, the safety of your peers, and the safety of our facility. Attached please find the course syllabus detailing those expectations. Please print and sign the final two signature pages with your family after reading the material. I am available by email for any questions or clarifications. I am looking forward to meeting you and finding out your best learning style so we can create something never seen before.
