Our 8th grade students will be going on several field trips which is always a wonderful experience. Our 8th grade students will also have the honor of listening to a presentation by Sidney Finkel, a holocaust survivor. Mr. Finkel has presented at our school for several years and is always impressed with the respect and compassion our students show. Having guests who recognize this in our students is something that brings me great pride. We want to ensure all of our 8th graders are able to go and visit the various Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes offered at their future school. THE PERMISSION SLIP IS ATTACHED. | Special Presentation for Gifted and Talented Education Families | The Marana Unified School District is pleased to host a FREE information session featuring Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY), which specializes in recognizing and developing students' academic talents. This special CTY session provides students in 2nd through 8th grades and their families a chance to learn about CTY's programs, ask questions, and connect with other families of bright students. Qualifying for CTY means gaining access to summer and online courses, academic counselors, and family learning adventures. It means connecting with expert instructors and fellow students who share your interests. It means learning to take risks, make mistakes, think creatively, and grow confidently.
