Prop 456: Special Budget Override Nov. 7

The Governing Board of the District has called a special budget override election to be held on November 7, 2017. The override will provide for the ongoing transition to dynamic digital classrooms, building a culture of STEM, and creating 1:1 learning environments; attract, recruit, and retain highly performing personnel; and avoid increases in class size and the elimination or reduction in the level of classroom and support services it currently provides students. To learn about Prop. 456, please visit www.maranausd.org/override.

COUNSELOR'S CORNER:

Counselors were in the classroom last week and this week providing a lesson regarding Suicide Prevention and Awareness. We feel this is an important topic because it provides students with information about how to access resources for themselves or someone they know that may be in a crisis situation. Please discuss this lesson with your child and if you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our counseling office at 682-4715.

ATHLETICS:

Our second quarter sports are underway! Please come out and support our boys' basketball and girls' soccer teams.

If you have questions, please email our Athletics Secretary, Sue Miller at S.Z.Miller@maranausd.org, or call our office at 682-4724.
