FALCON FAMILY FLYER
PRIDE RESPECT RESPONSIBILITY
Greetings Falcon Families,
I hope you all had a great week!
We spent part of the week at MMS, holding Behavior Expectation Assemblies. I have included the PowerPoint presentation so that you can review what was covered. One of the key areas of emphasis was how much we value KINDNESS at MMS. We know that middle school can often be a tough time as students are developing their unique personalities. Being KIND to each other makes this transition period a bit easier.
Look over the presentation and discuss the expectations with your child at home. It will make MMS an even better school environment than it already is if all students follow the behavior expectations!
This coming week, our Academic Teams will be holding award assemblies to celebrate all of the great things are students have accomplished during Quarter One!
Prop 456: Special Budget Override Nov. 7
The Governing Board of the District has called a special budget override election to be held on November 7, 2017. The override will provide for the ongoing transition to dynamic digital classrooms, building a culture of STEM, and creating 1:1 learning environments; attract, recruit, and retain highly performing personnel; and avoid increases in class size and the elimination or reduction in the level of classroom and support services it currently provides students. To learn about Prop. 456, please visit www.maranausd.org/override.
