====================================================================================================================== Setting this as an integer seems to have resolved it. You'll need to delete the existing winSystemUptime.jrb file so that it can be recreated with integer semantics. For what it's worth, I was collecting this as a counter on my previous installation with no trouble (again, 1.7.0 snapshot from 2 months back) in accordance with http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.network.opennms.general/25688/focus=25698 . That post shows it being collected as a gauge (actually a "guage", but who's counting spelling?). Are you sure you had it as a counter? Hmm, I intended to link to your message two below it: -- On Sep 8, 2008, at 4:49 PM, ( private ) HKS wrote: Whoops, guage should read "gauge" Actually it should read "counter", because despite the MIB definition erroneously declaring it as a Gauge32, it's a monotonically increasing value. The various INFORMANT-* MIBs tend to be full of this particular error. Collecting it as a counter will give the expected behavior in openNMS. -jeff -- After that, I set it to Counter and it worked as expected. When you mentioned that it only stores the delta, that made plenty of sense. I understand why this should be an integer, and hopefully I won't bump into this again... -HKS ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Please read the OpenNMS Mailing List FAQ: http://www.opennms.org/index.php/Mailing_List_FAQ opennms-discuss mailing list To *unsubscribe* or change your subscription options, see the bottom of this page: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opennms-discuss
