Good evening Mountain Lion family,
We made it! This is the last official week of the 2019-2020 school year. No one could have predicted this ending and we are grateful for the help and support from everyone during this time. For our Class of 2020, this has been very difficult. However, having a chance to see them come to the auditorium over the last five days and have their photographs taken on the stage has been fun. We have enjoyed each of them and wish every senior nothing but the best of luck. You have all overcome challenges but will be stronger for this and will be better for all that you have endured.
Attention Families of Seniors:
If your student has not yet returned their Chromebook and charger, collection will take place on Wednesday, May 20 from 8:00am-12:00pm and from 4:00pm-7:00pm. At this time, students may also return textbooks and pick up yearbooks. Due to configuration issues, students taking AP exams are discouraged from using their Chromebook during the exam, and are encouraged to return their Chromebook on Wednesday. An additional return date will be scheduled for the week of May 25, for any AP student who is unable to attend the Wednesday collection.
Student accounts will be suspended on June 15. The accounts of seniors will be permanently suspended. Please encourage your student to move any documents, (slide, presentations, etc.) that they wish to maintain to a personal account.
Thank you and congratulations to you and your graduate!
Attention Families of Students in Grades 9-11:
Due to the school closure order, we will not conduct our typical end of the year collection of Chromebooks. Student Google accounts will be suspended for the summer on June 15 and devices will be nonfunctional until the start of next school year. Please encourage your student to store their Chromebook and charger in a secure location for the summer.
On Wednesday, May 20 from 8:00am-12:00pm and from 4:00pm-7:00pm, students need to return textbooks and uniforms and then pick up their yearbooks.
If your student will not return to Mountain View next year, please return the Chromebook and charger on Wednesday, May 20, from 8:00-12:00 or 4:00-7:00. If you are unable to attend the Wednesday collection, please email Associate Principal, Robin Meece at r.c.meece@maranausd.org to make other arrangements.
We wish you and your family a safe, fun and restful summer!
Attention Families of Incoming Freshmen:
We are excited to welcome the Class of 2024. Usually, as summer comes to a close, we conduct Camp Elevate, a fun and welcoming freshmen transition camp. Currently however, plans for Elevate are on hold. We stand firm in our commitment to welcoming freshmen, and if we are unable to conduct Elevate in its standard format, we will find another way to make sure that the Class of 2024 has a great beginning.
As soon as we finalize the plan, we will send an email to the families of all registered freshmen.
We're so glad you chose Mountain View and we can't wait to welcome you and your student!
