Parents,
Just a reminder to you and students: As we begin the final quarter of Reading Enrichment, students will once again be required to read one chapter book during the quarter. They have been asked to bring this book with them on the Monday following break. They are also expected to bring it to class each day. As with last quarter, students will be required to complete daily and final assignments in conjunction with this book.
Thank you for your help,
Mr. Weinstein
Greetings Falcon Families,
I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful Spring Break. The MMS staff are ready for a fast-paced end of the school year! We have a lot to accomplish and know we will reach all of the goals we have set for the 2017-2018 school year.
Next week, we are back to our regular schedule. We will resume all after school activities, tutoring and 4th quarter sports will begin. I will be sending the Falcon Family Flyer on Monday with more details.
Enjoy your weekend and I will see your son or daughter bright and early Monday morning at the NEST!

Falcon Families,
I hope you all have a wonderful spring break! It is my absolute favorite time of year. Take time to breath the fresh air, take a hike, go watch a baseball game or just sit in the sun reading a good book.
Whatever your preference, enjoy yourself and the time with your family.
We look forward to seeing your child on March 26th.
It is going to be a fabulous 4th quarter for Marana Middle School!
Hello Everyone,
The end of the quarter has arrived, and a new quarter begins after Spring Break.
Enjoy the week and please read the news letter.
Have a great day,
The Scorpion Team
Good Morning Falcon Parents,
I am sure you have heard the national news about the various student walk-outs that are occurring around the country today in support of the ENOUGH: National School Walkout movement.
Here at MMS, we are not organizing or endorsing any student walkouts. However, if any students choose to participate in the movement by leaving their class at 10:00, we do have a plan in place. Students will be directed to our plaza area where administration and counselors will be supervising. Students will be escorted back to their class at 10:17.
We will be asking students to sign a pledge card with the heading, "You've Walked Out, Now Please Walk Up." The idea is to encourage students to "walk up" to a classmate who may be sitting alone at lunch or appear to feel isolated. We will share this information with all students; not just those who walked out of class.
Our goal is to continually work at improving our school climate and we will use the events that occur today to further our work in this endeavor.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Happy Tuesday Falcon Parents,
My secretary just came in and asked if I had taken a double dose of allergy medication when I was composing last weeks Falcon Family Flyer!
Something was off for sure! I apologize again for the error regarding the Girls' Basketball Championship and apparently, I also moved spring break up a week! I sincerely apologize for the errors.
Here is the correct schedule for this week and next.
Thursday, March 15th EARLY RELEASE for STUDENTS @ 12:45
Friday, March 16th EARLY RELEASE for STUDENTS @ 12:45
***Please note, there are no after school activities on either of these days. There will be no activity buses.
WEEK OF MARCH 19TH- 23RD: SPRING BREAK
I apologize again for the error.
Ms. Dickson
Good Morning Falcon Parents,
I wanted to make a correction to the information I shared in the Falcon Family Flyer on Friday. I misspoke and congratulated the girls' softball team for winning the championship when OF COURSE it was the GIRLS' BASKETBALL TEAM! These girls have worked hard all year and are talented student-athletes so I want to make sure they receive the credit they deserve. Great job girls!
