Dear Falcon Families:
I want to take this opportunity to let you know that our school day operated on its normal schedule today with no disruption. Our priority is always to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment for our students. Today's response by students and staff demonstrates the exceptional commitment that exists on our campus to safety and security, and teaching and academic achievement.
As I mentioned in my communication yesterday, our school is committed to eliminating any threat against our school, as well as the graffiti problem. I'm sure you support me when I say that we have zero tolerance for this type of behavior. Our administrative team, counselors, and student groups will work together to increase awareness and encourage accountability and school pride. We will also continue to work closely with the Marana Police Department in our ongoing comprehensive investigation. We will not have this type of behavior on our campus.
I also want to thank you for assisting us by talking with your child about the seriousness of making statements of a threatening/dangerous nature at any time, whether in graffiti, in person, or on a social media site. Please remind your child that if they are ever aware of information which affects the safety and well-being of our school, to bring concerns to the attention of an adult, local law enforcement, and/or school official. By working in partnership, students, staff, parents and police can continue to provide safe and secure schools for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support of our outstanding Falcons. Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this issue further.
Lerona Dickson
Principal
