On behalf of the Governing Board and District Administration, I extend our warmest wishes for the holiday season and thank you for your continued support of our District. This special time of year is a wonderful time to celebrate with family and friends. The Marana Unified School District is pleased to be a part of this community and thanks you for placing your trust in us. The degree to which a school district thrives is dependent on the level of support received and the tireless dedication of so many. Thank you for your active role in the success of our students, our staff, and our schools. With everyone's active involvement and support, we will continue to make our schools even greater in the New Year. Eligibility is determined by household size and income criteria. Children from households whose income is at or below the levels set by the USDA Child Nutrition Program are eligible. Foster children who are under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court are eligible for free meals regardless of income and should be included on your application. All children in households receiving benefits from SNAP, the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations or TANF, can get free meals regardless of your income. In January, we will be starting a Girls Who Code club at Marana Middle School. The first meeting will take place on Thursday, January 25th from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The initial meeting will primarily be informational. The club will meet every Thursday from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the last meeting taking place on May 17th. The club will be open to young ladies who attend Marana Middle School.
