Background
In July 2015, Governor Brown issued Executive Order B-32-15,
directing the Secretaries of Transportation, Environmental
Protection, and Natural Resources to lead other relevant State
departments in the development of an integrated action plan, the
California Sustainable Freight Action Plan (Action Plan).
The Action Plan will include specific recommendations, actions,
investments, and milestones agencies can consider to develop and
begin building a sustainable freight transportation system that
will demonstrate California's private and public leadership in
advancing national freight priorities, objectives, and goals, and
accomplishing statewide goals, such as the targets identified in
the Executive Order.
California is in a drought emergency.
