Clinton: U.S. feels 'urgency' on Sudan

Clinton spoke in Washington Monday after President Barack Obama announced a mixed approach of continued sanctions and incentives meant to move the Sudanese government to resolve crises caused by the genocide in its Darfur province and the crumbling 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement with southern rebels.

Pentagon calls off Iraq troop deployment

On Monday, Gen. Raymond Odierno, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, called off the deployment of an Army brigade that was set to deploy to Iraq in January, the U.S. Armed Forces news service reported.
